Faroes Islands (Postponed due to ferry route cancellation, hopeful running in 2010) The Faroes are a small group of Islands located between Great Britain and Iceland. This is an intermediate to advanced venue as the area is open to swell, tide and changeable weather. The area is spectacular having some of the most consistent high cliffs in Europe and spectacular wild life.
The wildlife is second to none and there will be a good chance of experiencing a Pilot Whale Drive as there are 23 different authorised Whaling bays around the Faroese.

We aim to paddle every day with a back up of a support vehicle. This will enable us to choose a suitable paddle on a daily bases should we have bad weather.  The aim is to paddle the areas as marked with the option of more sheltered paddles.

Food: The Faroese are expensive so we are advising that expedition members shop by internet from Tesco’s and provisions delivered to our office in Anglesey. We shall then bring the provisions with us in the support vehicle. We plan to camp from the kayaks for 3 nights. Local fresh food can be purchased.

Travel: We will be travelling out by Ferry. It is recommended that clients fly or travel as foot passengers on the ferry.  We can collect personal kayaks from the UK or we will take any specified model of kayak from our kayak range for you. It may be cheaper to fly via Denmark. Ferries depart from various locations. It is recommended that travel arraignments are made Saturday to Saturday.

Experience needed: Expedition members need to be of BCU 4 Star level (Old) or the new UKCC 3 Star award. (Or equivalent standard) Should expedition members want to attend training weekends then we will give a 25% discount on up to two training weekends prior to the expedition.
