Directions to the office:
Follow the A55 to Holyhead. At the round-a-bout by
MacDonald’s, take the third left towards Holyhead Town
Centre. You will pass through three sets of traffic
lights. Continue along this road, passing the rear of shops
such as Boots and Woolworths, until you come to the Kings Arms and
Marine Hotel. Turn left onto the Prince of Wales
Road. Take the immediate right after the playground and car
park on your right (opposite T.S Ganges – Sea
Cadets). You should see the Boat Yard directly
ahead. Turn left and follow this road until you come to a
white building partly embedded into the hill. You should see
a kayak rack on the side of the building. This is our
office.
Directions to the house:
Same as above, but do not turn at T.S Ganges. Continue along
the Prince of Wales Road until you come to the first
mini-round-a-bout. Turn left onto Walthew Avenue.
The guest house is the first house on your right-hand side.
Please ensure you have been given the code for the door before you
arrive. This is usually given out a few days before
arrival. Turn the handle all the way anti-clockwise.
Opening Hours:
The office is open 9am – 5pm every week day and 9am
– 10.00am on weekends when courses are running.
Residential:
We assume that you will be arriving the night before the
course. We provide breakfast and packed lunch but not evening
meals. Meals are self-service. There is a small
kitchen/dining area for your use complete with tea and coffee
facilities. Towels and bedding are provided. The
guest house consists of four bedrooms; one double room en-suite, two
twin-bedded rooms, one bunk-bedded room and two bathrooms.
During busy periods we may expect you to share a room. The
house is situated within easy walking distance of the town centre.
Non-Residential:
Please meet your instructor at 9.30am at our office overlooking the
Harbour. We recommend you bring with you a packed lunch as
sometimes it may not be possible to find somewhere to purchase
food. You will also need a towel. Most courses
finish before 5pm each day.
Parking:
Please note that our guest house is situated in a residential
area. We would be grateful if you could avoid parking
directly outside the other houses. St David’s
Street is the next turning left and usually has plenty of parking space
without annoying the neighbours. Thank you.
Equipment:
Please notify us in advance if you require equipment. We do
not provide footwear (old trainers or sandals are fine) or under layers
(thermals, fleeces etc).
BCU Courses:
Please ensure that you read the relevant BCU syllabus before attending
the course, and have the necessary prerequisites.
